— The head barbell in charge
About THE HBIC
I am a trainer, a coach, a homie, and an accountability partner.
I help women build strength and sustainable wellness routines—without shame, extremes, or perfectionism.
I’m Dee—Baltimore-metro based, mom to a 6-year-old, and partner to Ashlei. I’m also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC), and I help women build strength and sustainable wellness routines without shame, extremes, or perfectionism.
My approach is rooted in lived experience. At my highest weight, I was 331 lbs, and a serious health scare became the turning point that pushed me to take my health back. I had bariatric surgery in 2019 and later a revision of the same due to complications. In total, I’ve lost 160 lbs—and that transformation sparked a deep love for fitness and the kind of strength that changes more than your body. It changes how you live. Bariatric surgery was the jumpstart, but strength training, nutrition, and consistent habits are what helped me sustain my loss long-term—and they’re also how I learned to choose myself in practical ways, day after day.
Today, my work focuses on women’s health and wellness, especially for busy women navigating ADHD, hormone shifts (including perimenopause), and the mental load of trying to do everything for everyone. I believe in structure over stress, flexibility as a feature, and progress that fits real life. My goal is always the same: help you feel more confident, capable, and at home in your body—one doable step at a time.
I come from a family where obesity and related diseases have impacted a lot of people I love. My journey is about breaking that cycle—not only for me, but for my child and the people coming after me. That’s also why I’m committed to support group leadership: because wellness isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, social, and deeply tied to identity. I want to help create affirming, respectful spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to build healthier lives in a way that honors who you are.
